- Standard 1-inch filters: Filter replacements are included according to your plan’s allowance and the needs of your system.
- Thicker media filters: If your filter only needs to be replaced once or twice per year, we’ll replace it when appropriate rather than unnecessarily changing a filter that still has useful life remaining.
- Between replacement visits: We’ll check your filter’s condition and help keep track of when the next replacement is due.
- Fusion HomeCare members: Your scheduled visits can also include one eligible small household maintenance task taking up to 10 minutes per visit.
Some specialty or higher-cost filters may require an additional charge, which we’ll communicate before ordering or installing them.

A Little Extra Attention for Your Home Comfort
At Fusion Heating & Air, we believe small checks can provide valuable insight into how your heating and cooling system is operating.
As part of your scheduled maintenance visit, we’ll perform a quick temperature-differential check, commonly known as a temperature split, when the system is operating under suitable conditions.
By measuring the temperature difference between the air entering and leaving your HVAC equipment, we can get a useful snapshot of how the system is transferring heat and performing at that moment.
What does this check involve?
- Heating operation: When conditions allow, we compare the return-air temperature with the supply-air temperature to assess the system’s temperature rise.
- Cooling operation: When conditions allow, we compare the return-air temperature with the supply-air temperature to assess the system’s cooling temperature split.
- Basic operational screening: We consider the temperature readings alongside the system’s operating mode and conditions to help identify potential concerns.
- Early awareness: If a reading appears unusual, we’ll let you know and discuss whether further evaluation may be worthwhile.
Why Is Temperature Split Important?
Temperature differences can provide useful clues about HVAC performance. Depending on the system and operating conditions, unusual readings may be associated with airflow restrictions, filter problems, refrigerant-related issues, or other equipment concerns.
However, temperature split is only one piece of the picture. Outdoor temperature, indoor humidity, blower settings, equipment design, and system operating conditions can all affect the readings. A normal temperature split does not guarantee that every component is functioning properly.
If we notice something that warrants further investigation, we’ll explain our observations and provide recommendations before performing any additional diagnostic work.
Included with your scheduled visit: This is a basic operational screening, not a comprehensive HVAC inspection, diagnostic service, or seasonal tune-up.
